In the summer of 2017, David, Madison, and Seth had the idea of starting a coffee shop that would provide locals with a place to gather, fellowship, and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
This was going to be no easy feat as they were finishing their final year of college at Oregon Tech. Along with a full course load, Seth was competing in his last year of Track and Field, and David was coaching the OIT Golf team. But this didn’t stop them.
Two days before the first day of their final year, Brevada opened its doors, providing a warm place were students could study, people could work, and locals could meet to share stories. The first year was filled with ups and downs as the owners were trying to juggle business ownership, school, and their personal lives.
Several years later, Brevada has continued to shift and grow into the Brevada you see today. In 2019, Brevada extended their product and hours to Brevada “After Hours”, serving beer, wine, and cider.
As of now, David and Seth remain the sole owners, putting down roots in Klamath Falls. Originally from the small town of Wimer, 8 miles past Rogue River, David and Seth grew up just miles down the road from each other, going to high school together and eventually becoming roommates all the way through college. They would like to call themselves locals, really enjoying and appreciating the Klamath Basin and its people.
As time has passed owning Brevada, we have shifted our perspective in what this business really is to us.
We have shifted into more of relationship building, rather than business building.
It all starts with our employees; our family, providing a work environment that promotes personal growth, inspiration, and support for one another.
This naturally trickles into our customers, treating them genuinely with kindness and understanding. Wishing each of them feels as though they are part of our family here at Brevada.
We hope that this spreads throughout our community. We hope Brevada can be a catalyst for real, true, human interaction. Taking place in a welcoming, loving environment that strives for quality in all senses.
In a world run by smart phones, television screens and fake news, we wish to be something real.
Connection to people and our community is our passion, so come talk with us! in case you need some topics, see below.
